Boerboel UK is the only Boerboel Breed Society in the UK,working with the South African Stud Book. It is a registry in it's own right but additionally registers with Stud Book through B.U.K.S. own breed database manager- so all dogs are dual registered both in the UK and the only legal registry in South Africa(S.A. Stud Book.)
Boerboel UK is a non-profit making Society working for the future of the breed.People dedicated to the breed in the UK and overseas realise that all breeders and owners deserve to have their opinion heard and, more importantly, UK breeders and owners must have a vote in how the future standard, health and temperament of this breed is to be preserved in the UK and beyond.
Boerboel UK is one of the only registries worldwide to make health testing and DNA profiling mandatory before any puppy shall be registered. Not all UK Boerboel Breeders (outwith BUKS) do complete health tests,DNA profile nor appraise their dogs.
